The Deer Stalking club was opened to members in May 2002 and has proved very popular. Membership is sometimes closed as we are keen to only have as many members as the available stalking land will allow. The club works rather like a giant syndicate and the funds generated by the membership fees are put toward purchasing shooting rites and other items such as high seats. On all stalks you will be accompanied by our gamekeeper and deer course manager Phil Lynch.
Annual Membership Fee: £170.00
Members will have the benefit of written
shooting permission for vermin control and deer stalking on
any and all of the land on which the club holds the shooting
rights.
We have been very successful in acquiring some excellent shooting so far including one very substantial estate at Much Wenlock where we mostly stalk for Fallow deer.
In 2005 we have acquired additional shooting rites in Wiltshire. We are particularly excited about this piece of land as the deer, which have been shot there will be amongst the biggest trophies taken this year in the UK. However if big trophies are not your thing then we also offer the opportunity to stalk for Muntjack, Does or Cull Bucks.
Prices for Stalks are as follows:
Much Wenlock
£ 50.00 per outing to include one Doe, Pricket or Cull Buck
One to one tuition stalking accompanied by a qualified level 1 / level 2 instructor and accredited witness £100.00 per outing plus any trophy fees.
Outings for non club members available by special arrangement only.
Wiltshire
£75.00 per gun per outing plus any trophy fees
Minimum bookings of two days with two stalks per day plus trophy fees.
We are able to arrange accommodation to suit all
budgets.
Please book your stalking appointments with Phil Lynch directly by using our main telephone number: 01743 791858.
Deer Management Qualification Level 1
We are very keen to bring new shooters into the sport and offer recognised training programs for both the novice and experienced shooter alike. We believe that we can offer more time efficient courses than most other training groups because we have the training rooms and range facilities here on site at Minsterley. Please call us for course syllabus, place availability and prices.
This of course allows members to organise sporting
firearms on their FAC's.
